GFO rolls out early interims on pooled wheat

Farmers who have delivered wheat to the Grain Farmers of Ontario pool program may be in line for early interim payments of $25 to $60 per tonne.

The additional interims on Pools A, B, C, E, F and G come in addition to GFO's November initial payment made at delivery.

These early interims are issued "in line with (GFO) adapting the pool program with new offerings," the organization said in a release Wednesday.

Interim payments include $25 per tonne on Pool B (hard red winter), $30 on Pool C (hard red spring), $35 on Pools E (soft red winter) and F (common red) and $60 on Pools A (soft white winter) and G (feed). Payments are based on delivery to a landed basis point.

GFO noted Wednesday it still also expects to make a regular January interim payment on top of the summer final payment.
