United Farmers of Alberta community grants now available

Rural communities are encouraged to apply for up to $100,000 in funds

Two new members on UFA board

Cattle producers Patricia Henderson and Cindy Bjorklund have been elected to the board of UFA. Henderson helped operate her family’s purebred cattle operation in central Alberta and had a small cow herd near Cochrane with her husband. New edition of classic Alberta cookbook on sale

Hardy farm-style recipes are the focus of Meals in the Field, a new cookbook from United Farmers of Alberta Co-operative. Recipes were submitted throughout the summer by UFA members, customers, agents and employees. Trio of La Crete projects to split prize in UFA contest

The fast-growing northern community wanted to finish off Jubilee Park, 
give a boost to an arena project, and help the fall fair

La Crete is the first winner in this year’s edition of UFA’s Get ’n’ Give contest.
