A gathering of global clubroot experts will focus on creating a co-ordinated, cutting-edge approach to combating the soil-borne disease impacting canola growers.
“With clubroot spreading across the Prairie provinces, varietal resistance breaking down and new pathotypes being identified, now is the time for a unified, collaborative approach to exchanging key insights and leading-edge ideas on this serious disease affecting canola,” says the Canola Council of Canada, one of the organizers of the three-day event in Edmonton Aug. 7-9.
There will be sessions on breeding and genetics, genomics, epidemiology, molecular plant-pathogen interactions, and disease management — as well as ones aimed at educating growers, regulators, and agronomists.
The agenda and registration info can be found at the International CLUBROOT Workshop event page.
