The Alberta Farm Fresh School 2016 is coming up and commercial horticulture specialist Rob Spencer says it’s the perfect place to learn more about production and marketing.
“This year’s event is being offered jointly by Alberta Farm Fresh Producers Association and Organic Alberta,” said Spencer. “As a result, there will be sessions for organic grain producers and all sessions will be appropriate for both conventional and organic producers.”
The school features a range of offerings over two days on horticulture, marketing, transition, livestock, and grains. There’s also a trade show, and a business/conversation room for specific businesses and topics.
“New Venture Coaches will be on hand to have one-on-one discussions about business plans and business expansion ideas,” said Spencer. “There are lots of opportunities to take home information, share ideas, and get insightful tips and advice.”
The event takes place Feb. 25-26 at the Pomeroy Inn & Suites on the Olds College campus. For more info or to register, go to albertafarmfresh.com or organicalberta.org.
