Canada’s largest grain handler is in need of a new senior vice-president of business planning and development.
The incumbent, former CIBC and TD executive Andrew Muirhead, has “stepped down to pursue other interests,” Regina-based Viterra announced Wednesday.
Muirhead joined Viterra as senior vice-president of corporate development in January 2008, working out of the company’s Calgary office.
He came to the grain company from TD Securities, where he worked as vice-president and director of investment banking for two years, and previously worked for CIBC World Markets, where he was executive director of mergers and acquisitions.
In both previous roles, Viterra said, Muirhead was known as a senior advisor to numerous public companies, with expertise in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and capital markets.
Viterra said Wednesday it will fill its now-vacant vice-president post “in the future.”
