– Phase three trials on the COVID-19 vaccine recently announced by Pfizer and BioNTech have shown 95 per cent efficacy against the virus, marking a five-point improvement from earlier results announced a week ago. The vaccine will now be submitted to the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for emergency use authorization.
– The Boeing 737 Max has been cleared for flight by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, nearly two years after the planes were grounded following a pair of deadly crashes.
– Opposition leaders in Denmark are calling for the resignation of the country’s Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen, amid revelations that an order to cull all of the country’s 17 million mink was illegal. The agriculture minister has already resigned. The initial order to cull the mink from all of the country’s 1,100 mink farms came after a mutated COVID-19 strain was found at numerous farms. The mink on all the infected farms have been culled.
