Meatless Mondays

Reading Time: < 1 minute

San Francisco’s board of supervisors has passed a resolution designating every Monday as a Vegetarian Day to “encourage restaurants, grocery stores and schools to offer a greater variety of plant-based options to improve the health of San Francisco residents and visitors, and to increase the awareness of the impact a green diet would be on our planet.” Other cities to recently adopt meat-free initiatives include Cincinnati, Takoma Park, Md. and Ghent, Belgium.
