DuPont’s Triton K herbicide now has additional registration for use on durum wheat. DuPont says Triton K controls broadleaf weeds including Group 2-resistant kochia, narrow-leaved hawk’s beard, cow cockle, wild buckwheat, flixweed and Russian thistle.
DuPont cereals product manager Jon Gough said in a release that Triton K is the only herbicide that controls all of the top 10 weeds targeted by growers in the brown soil zone.
There are three active ingredients in Triton K from Groups 2 and 4, which DuPont says helps manage herbicide resistance.
Triton K is formulated with Solumax soluble granules, which DuPont says increases the bioavailability of the active ingredient to the plant for fast, effective weed control. In addition, because the herbicide dissolves completely into solution, it offers faster, easier, more consistent tank cleanout and less risk to subsequently sprayed crops like peas or canola.
