Alberta finishes first in national speaking competition

Emmett Sawyer of Acme took top spot in the senior division of the Canadian Young Speakers for Agriculture competition.

Sawyer was the 4-H representative for the province at the public speaking competition held annually at Ontario’s Royal Agricultural Winter Fair since 1985.

Carmen White of Claresholm was the runner-up in the junior division, which was won by Ontario’s Nate Caughill.
