David MacTaggart of Lacombe is one of six winners of scholarships from the Canadian Agri-Business Education Foundation.
The scholarships, worth $2,500, are given to Canadian students entering their first year at an accredited agriculture college or university. The foundation encourages students to pursue their passion for agriculture and to bring their new ideas and talent to the industry.
Scholarship winners are evaluated on a combination of leadership attributes, academic standing and their response to the essay question, “What do you consider to be the three main opportunities for the Canadian agriculture industry and which one inspires you the most?”
The deadline for applying for a scholarship is April. For more info, see cabef.org.
