Bashaw Crop Services is one of four Canadian agri-retailers to be given $15,000 to donate to worthy causes.
It was chosen in a contest put on by ADAMA Canada, which encouraged people to vote for agri-retailers that have made an outstanding contribution to their community. Fifty-two businesses were nominated in the #ThankARetailer contest and more than 220,000 votes were cast.
Bashaw Crop Services plans to use the $15,000 to help fund the Bashaw School enhancement project and contribute to the community centre expansion in Meeting Creek. The company has a long list of organizations and initiatives in Bashaw and the surrounding area that it has supported over the years. The other three winners are from Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario.
