The Canadian Forage & Grassland Association has initiated a leadership award to recognize an individual, group or organization whose leadership has had a significant positive impact on the forage and grassland industry either nationally, internationally or both.
In setting up the award CFGA recognized that contributions to the industry may come from many different areas and would not necessarily be limited to: management practices, research, teaching or public relations and/or public education. Among those to be considered are farmers and ranchers, agency staff in land managing agencies, researchers, and technology transfer personnel, educational personnel, etc.
The award will be presented at the CFGA AGM and conference in Toronto on Dec. 11. The deadline for nominations is Oct. 31.
A nomination form is available at www.canadianfga.ca. For more information contact executive director, Wayne Digby at [email protected]
