The Chase Duffy series chronicles the adventures of an elementary school track-and-field athlete as he navigates his way around his grandfather’s farm in central Alberta to learn about food, agriculture, and the only ‘Made in Canada’ crop — canola.

Written for eight- to 11-year-olds, the graphic novel series was developed to help parents and teachers introduce children to local agriculture, food production, and science.

The latest novel is a thriller that sees Chase learn about the importance of soil and the many living organisms that exist in it.
