Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada is seeking volunteers to submit weather and climate reports for their farm for the online tool called the Agroclimate Impact Reporter.
The weather data is used to better understand local and regional conditions, and to help identify emerging trends and anomalies. It is also used for programs such as AgriRecovery and the Livestock Tax Deferral Provision.
The survey is conducted during the last week of the month (from April to October), with results made into maps published at Drought Watch.
To volunteer, go to the ‘Drought Watch’ page on the Government of Canada website click on the ‘Agroclimate Impact Reporter’ link.
