Cargill Limited is contributing almost $20,000 to be the core supporter of seven of the 63 Progressive Agriculture Safety Days across the Prairies this year, of which 10 will be in Alberta.

Progressive Agriculture Safety Days are conducted in the U.S. and Canada, and are designed to make farm and ranch life safer and healthier for all children through education and training.

Cargill employees will also act as volunteers and ambassadors for farm safety at the events, which are organized by the Canadian Agricultural Safety Association (CASA).

“This is a first for Cargill and for Safety Days in Canada,” said Neil Sabourin, national manager, Cargill Farm Logistics. Our commitment is to provide safe workplaces and safe products, to protect the environment and to be responsible citizens in the communities in which we operate.

In Alberta, safety days will be held in Didsbury, Foremost, Grande Prairie, Lac La Biche, New Sarepta, Oyen, Redcliff, Rockyford and Seven Persons.
