G3 plans new Edmonton-area grain elevator

Grain handler G3 Canada has announced its third move into Alberta, with plans for an elevator near Morinville, about 25 km north of Edmonton. G3 Canada’s elevator at Melville, Sask., which opened in August, will be similar to its newly announced elevator to be built at Carmangay. Both will have 134- car loop tracks but the Carmangay elevator will have a larger capacity (42,000 tonnes compared to 34,000 tonnes for the Melville facility).
