Alberta Agriculture and Rural Development is posting regular drought reports on its website – visit www.agriculture.alberta.caand search Drought Report.
The report links to related maps, including maps showing daily mean temperatures, growing season (April 1, 2009 to date) precipitation accumulations and modelled soil moisture reserves, all relative to long-term normal.
These maps are updated once a week (usually Wednesday) to provide updates to farmers between reports.
