- The United States Justice Department has filed charges against a former Indian intelligence officer on allegations he directed a foiled plot to murder a Sikh separatist leader, and American citizen, in New York City last year. The charges of “murder-for-hire and money laundering” against Vikash Yadav, a former officer in India’s Research and Analysis Wing, were filed in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.
