Durum is now included in a new CWB pricing option for farmers who have low-grade wheat to market. Farmers can now choose to lock in prices for Nos. 4 and 5 Canada Western Amber durum, using the CWB’s Early Payment Option (EPO) to maximize returns for feed wheat from the current market environment. Program values are based on strike prices available in the feed market, which are above the current CWB Pool Return Outlook, to arrive at a net guaranteed minimum price. The program is also available for Canada Western feed wheat. More information is available online at www.cwb.ca/epo.
