Robert I. Martin joined the Farmers’ Advocate Office (FAO) as the farm implement inspector in January 2009. He brings with him over 33 years of experience in the agriculture equipment industry.
“Along with his agriculture diploma from the University of
Saskatchewan, Martin has owned and operated a 2,000-acre grain farm in central Saskatchewan for 15 years,” says Janet Patriquin, assistant Farmers Advocate, communications and programs, Edmonton.
“Martin’s business experience speaks for itself as founding partner and business manager of DeerStar Systems Inc., Stettler, AB in 1997; former corporate equipment manager with Agricore United, Winnipeg, MB; extensively working with fertilizer and chemical application equipment throughout western Canada for over 18 years; and, is a certified skid steer loader and forklift operator trainer. He is also a proud member of the Agriculture Institute of Canada.”
