The Taste of Canada — an event to help Canadian exporters get into the U.S. food-service and retail sector — is hitting the road again.
The fourth edition of the event will be held in San Francisco on Nov. 3-4, said Dusan Rnjak, trade development officer with Alberta Agriculture and Rural Development.
“This professional food showcase event is designed as a mini Canada-only display of qualified export-ready and capable Canadian suppliers to showcase their food and beverage products in a tabletop setting, and meet one on one with buyers,” said Rnjak.

Among the criteria to participate are being export ready (or demonstrating export readiness) in the following categories: meats and seafood; specialty foods and snacks; bakery and desserts (fresh and frozen); meals (frozen and shelf stable) and components; non-alcoholic beverages.
“Space is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Eligibility will be confirmed upon receipt of the application form,” said Rnjak. “There is no cost to participate. Companies will be responsible to cover the cost of travel, accommodation and shipping samples and materials. ”
