Winnipeg, April 12 – Following are a few highlights in the
Canadian and world pulse markets on April 12.

– The price of India’s pulses and vegetables fell in March, according to reports out of the country on Tuesday. Retail inflation dropped to 4.83 per cent in March. Lower prices for pulses and vegetables contributed to the declines.

– However, that price rout hasn’t affected chickpeas, as prices in India have gained 24 per cent since February, analysts say.

– New crop bids for peas in western Canada are about C$8.50 to C$9.15 per bushel for green, and C$8.60 to C$9.70 per bushel for yellow, as of April 12, Prairie Ag Hotwire said.

– Prices for delivered elevator feed faba beans in Manitoba range from C$6.50 to C$10 per pound, according to Prairie Ag Hotwire.
