Pulses: Argentina soybean crop damaged

Winnipeg, Jan 11 – Following are a few highlights in the Canadian and world pulse markets on January 11.

– About ten per cent of Argentina’s soybean crop is said to be damaged due to flooding and fires, reports out of the region say.

– Spot prices for #1 Laird lentils in Western Canada are about 61 to 69 cents per pound, Prairie Ag Hotwire said on Wednesday. Green peas are about C$8.22 to C$9.50 a bushel.

– Western Canadian spot prices for cranberry beans are about C$0.485 per pound.

– Western Canadian spot prices for black beans are about C$0.425 per pound.
