Winnipeg, Nov. 2 (CNS) – AGT Food and Ingredients Inc.
announced its third quarter 2017 results will be released before
market open Nov. 6. AGT is an international pulse trading and
processing company based in Regina, Sask.
The United States Dry Bean Council released a Mexican bean
harvest update. Harvest has resumed in the states of Zacatecas
and Durango. Bean quality is expected to be good in Durango
despite precipitation which caused humidity and related
diseases. Harvesting has started in the state of Chihuahua where
bean production is expected to be smaller than usual due to
excess humidity. Harvesting is done in San Luis Potosi where
they have produced 40,000 tonnes of beans and in Guanajuato
where they have produced 50,000 tonnes of beans.
Pulse exports from Victoria in Australia have rose 160 per
cent after the record 2016-17 grain harvest. The growth
represents an increase of a AUD$422 million. At 556,000 tonnes
of pulses it accounts for 32 per cent of the state’s total grain
exports.
