All January canola and barley options on Winnipeg’s ICE Futures Canada will now expire on the third Friday of the preceding December, the commodity exchange said Friday.

ICE on Friday issued a reminder that January 2010 canola and Western barley options are to expire Friday, Dec. 18, 2009. That expiry date had been “incorrectly listed” as Dec. 23 or 24 by some quote vendors and trading systems, ICE said.

The new expiry date for January options takes effect with the January 2010 options, ICE said.

All other option months, except January, will expire on the last Friday that precedes by at least two trading days the last trading day of the month immediately preceding the delivery month of the underlying futures contract.
