Nufarm Agriculture Inc. and FMC Corporation have announced that Authority has received an emergency use registration for chickpeas in Alberta.
Authority 480 herbicide is a new Group 14 pre-emergent herbicide used to control several key weeds in chickpeas in the provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Nufarm says that Authority 480, when applied as a pre-emergent surface application, provides chickpea growers with season-long control of emerging kochia, wild buckwheat, lamb’s quarters and redroot pigweed.
Nufarm said in a release that Authority will be free of rebates and “priced for maximum savings at the time of purchase.”
