Winnipeg, August 25 – The Canadian dollar was slightly higher
against its US counterpart on Friday morning, pushed upward by
advances in crude oil prices and gold bullion.
Losses in natural gas limited the gains.
At 8:55 CDT Friday morning the Canadian dollar was at US$0.7987
or C$1.2520 which compares with Thursday’s North American close of
US$0.7981 or C$1.2529.
At 8:45 CDT Friday morning, the TSX was up 22.34 points, or
0.15%, at 15,098.50.
