WINNIPEG, July 13 (CNS Canada) The Canadian dollar was weaker Friday morning, as ongoing uncertainty on the global trade front weighed on the currency.
At 9:28 CDT Friday morning the Canadian dollar was at US$0.7589 or C$1.30177 which compares with Thursday’s North American close of US$0.7595 or C$1.3166.
Crude oil was slightly firmer in early activity, helping provide some support for the energy-linked currency.
The TSX was weaker at 9:28 CDT, down 8.20 points at 16,559.22.
