(Resource News International) — William Hill will soon be leaving his post as president and chief operating officer of ICE Futures Canada, according to an official with
the exchange.

Hill will remain with ICE Futures Canada in his current role
until the transition to a new president and COO for the former Winnipeg Commdity Exchange is complete. No
time frame was provided for when the transition will be
completed.

Hill replaced former WCE president and CEO Mike Gagne, who
retired when Atlanta-based Intercontinental Exchange Inc. (ICE) completed the
transaction to acquire the holding
company for Winnipeg Commodity Exchange on Aug. 28. Hill had been the WCE’s senior vice-president since 2003.

Grain and oilseed futures contracts at the WCE begin trading on the ICE platform Dec. 9.

Hill had also previously served as a senior vice-president for the grain group of Saskatchewan Wheat Pool (now part of Viterra) and before that as managing director of merchandising and transportation for UGG (later merged into Agricore United, now also part of Viterra).
