Keith Colwell new NS agriculture minister

Keith Colwell has been appointed as Nova Scotia’s new minister of agriculture and minister of fisheries and aquaculture in the new Liberal government under Premier Stephen McNeil.

Colwell is MLA for Preston-Dartmouth. He was first elected to the House of Assembly as MLA for Eastern Shore in 1993 and was re-elected in 1998. He was then elected as MLA for Preston in 2003, re-elected in 2006 and 2009 and again this year as MLA for Preston-Dartmouth.

He has previously served as minister of fisheries and aquaculture and minister of consumer services as well as other cabinet posts.
