Ont. soybean growers name executive

Ontario Soybean Growers on Friday announced its new executive and five elected directors for 2008.

Leo Guilbeault, a grower from Belle River in Essex county and chair of the Ontario Grains
and Oilseeds Safety Net Committee was elected for a second year as chair of the commodity group, which represents Ontario’s 25,000 soybean growers, at
the new board’s recent meeting in Guelph.

Kevin Marriott of
Lambton and Kim Fysh of Kent were elected as first and second vice-chairs. John Johnston of Elgin also sits on the executive.

The OSG also elected five new directors to its board for 2008: Mark Huston of Thamesville, for
Kent; Keith Black of Belgrave, for Huron; Helmuth Spreitzer of New Dundee, for Dufferin, Waterloo, Wellington, Hamilton-Wentworth; Ken Thompson of Kincardine, for Bruce; and Dwight Foster of North Gower, for
eastern Ontario.
