Prairie-wide equipment dealer eyes Man. site

A Case IH dealer in southern Manitoba is expected to be the latest buy for a publicly-traded, prairie-wide, Calgary-based stable of equipment dealerships.

Rocky Mountain Dealerships said Tuesday it has signed a purchase and sale agreement to buy Enns Agri Sales Ltd. at Winkler, Man., about 110 km southwest of Winnipeg, for an undisclosed sum.

The sale is expected to close on or about Nov. 1, Rocky Mountain said in a release Tuesday.

The Winkler location would bring Rocky Mountain’s Manitoba operations to six shops, the company said. It would also represent the 11th location added to Rocky Mountain since its initial public offering (IPO) in December 2007.

Johnstone’s Grain sees the sale of regenerative agriculture products as the future

Rocky Mountain represents one of Canada’s largest agriculture and construction equipment dealerships and with the acquisition of Enns would operate 23 dealership branches across the three Prairie provinces.

Rocky Mountain sells, rents and leases new and used construction and agriculture equipment, including Case IH agriculture brands, as well as offering product support and finance and insurance products to its customers.

Enns represents the Case IH agriculture brand, and also carries Yamaha and Land Pride equipment. In its most recent fiscal year, Enns posted revenues of about $13 million, Rocky Mountain said in its release.
