In its weekly bulletin, the Canadian Wheat Board reminds that Thursday, April 30 is the Series B signup deadline for 2008-09 durum and for AC Navigator in the identity-preserved program.

Producers who have not priced the futures portion of their 2008-09 May Basis Price Contract (BPC) are reminded that the pricing deadline is today Apr. 29 at 9 p.m. CDT. Producers have the option to roll over the basis to a July 2009 position prior to the deadline.

Farmers are reminded that they must seed registered varieties to deliver into milling grades of wheat. Lists of registered varieties for each class, called variety designation lists, are available from Canadian Grain Commission’s website at www.grainscanada.gc.ca. After harvest, producers will be required to sign a Declaration of Eligibility for the Class form at each delivery station, attesting that the wheat is a registered variety that qualifies for its class.
