The weather period for April 23 was a return to somewhat milder temperatures for some areas of the Prairies after a relatively cool spate of temperatures. In Alberta, Peace River, Grande Prairie, Slave Lake and Lloydminster reported highs of a mere 1 C while further south in Brooks and Lethbridge reported 9 C and 11 C respectively. In Saskatchewan, North Battleford reported 2 C, Melfort 5 C, Moose Jaw and Swift Current 3 C, and Estevan 1 C. In Manitoba, Dauphin surprised with a high of 7 C while Brandon and Winnipeg had to make do with temperatures ranging between 5 and 6 C.
