WINNIPEG, August 3 (CNS Canada) – Following are a few
highlights in the Canadian and world feed grains markets on
Wednesday, August 3.
– CBOT corn futures ended around a cent higher on Wednesday,
in the wake of yesterday’s losses. Temperatures in the US corn
belt are also expected to become milder in the next few days,
which was bearish.
– Heavy rains in France eased slightly in some parts of the
country during July, according to a report in La France

– Wet weather delayed barley harvesting in Germany, according
to ArH. Grain-Line. Yields were down roughly 10-20% with a
harvest of 8.6 million tonnes.
– Romanian corn exports were down 46% compared to a year ago,
according to a report from UKAgroConsult.
– Egypt has temporarily quit buying wheat in a bid to secure
cheaper prices, according to reports out of the country.
– Feed barley bids in the key cattle feeding area of
Lethbridge, Alberta were in the C$185-$195 per tonne range as of
July 29, which was C$5 lower than the week before, according to
range which was up C$8-$10 from the previous week.
