Global markets: Canadian crude production up in September

WINNIPEG, December 9 – The following is a glance at the news moving markets globally.

– Canada produced 19.2 million cubic metres (121.0 million barrels) of crude oil and equivalent products in September, up 11.6 per cent compared with the same month in 2015, Statistics Canada said in a report on Friday.

– The Bank of England is expected to keep interest rates steady through the end of the year, according to market watchers in the region.

Interest rates are currently at 0.25 per cent. Analysts say England’s growth has been steady since ‘Brexit.’
