Consultations with Canada s pullet growers have brought their reorganized national group to complete its first draft of an application for separate status in the supply management system. Many of Canada s 550 pullet growers are also in the egg business, but believe it s time to have their own voice on issues such as cost of production, disease control, HACCP programs and housing standards, among others.
