WINNIPEG, MB, July 4, 2018 (CNS Canada) – ICE Futures
Canada canola contracts were lower Wednesday morning, continuing
with losses from Tuesday.
American markets are closed Wednesday for Independence Day.
Palm oil and European rapeseed were stronger.
The Canadian dollar was weaker, which was providing support
for the canola market.
North American crop conditions are looking good, with
pockets of rain expected throughout Wednesday across the
Prairies in the form of thunderstorms. Even with the rain in the
forecast there are still dry areas of concern.
About 2,000 canola contracts had traded as of 8:43 CDT
Tuesday morning.
