ICE canola little changed in overnight trade

WINNIPEG, MB, July 27, 2018 (CNS Canada) – ICE Futures
Canada canola contracts were mixed Friday morning, with
expectations that trading will be choppy today ahead of the
weekend.
Chicago Board of Trade soybean contracts were up, soyoil
and meal contracts were also higher. Palm oil and European were
both on the defensive side this morning.
The Grain World crop tour of Western Canada, conducted by
FarmLink Marketing Solutions, wrapped up yesterday. The tour
pegged canola yields at an average of 41.9 bushels per acre,
which compares with 41.0 bushels per acre last year and the
five-year average of 39.5 bushels per acre.
Today is the last day for the ICE Futures canola contracts
being based in Winnipeg, as of Monday the contract moves to New
York.
About 500 canola contracts had traded as of 8:25 CDT Friday
morning.
