A popular event highlighting the latest in agricultural technology and research is changing hands, but it won’t be moving geographically.
According to a Sept. 25 news release, ownership of the AgSmart Educational Expo will shift from the Olds College of Agriculture and Technology to the Red Deer-based Agri-Trade Equipment Expo group. The event will remain in the central Alberta town of Olds and will still be hosted at the college.
AgSmart, which showcases leading research and technology innovations, has been a staple event at Olds College for half a decade. The transition will see the expo group assume full ownership of AgSmart, take charge of its management and maintain the show’s educational focus.
