Celebrate The Western Life During Farmfair

Kick start all the CFR rodeo action at Farmfair International, running November 5-13 at Northlands. Farmfair offers a number of activities and events including the RAM Country Marketplace featuring 250 booths offering a huge variety of western products such as leather goods, saddles, apparel, home decor, western art, food and livestock equipment.

Another highlight is the Alberta Supreme Cattle Show, which showcases breed champions from three top Alberta cattle shows. The show s Grand Champion not only earns the coveted Farmfair Supreme title, but also drives away in a brand new Dodge Ram truck. Over 700 head of cattle are expected from 13 purebred breeds, including Black Angus, Gelbvieh, Simmental, Shorthorn, Lowline, Hereford, Maine Anjou and Speckle Park.

One new feature at Farmfair is the Bloodstock 2011 Sale. This top-quality horse auction is geared towards ranch, rodeo and performance horses, and is hosted by Northern Bloodstock, The Canadian Supreme, and the Alberta Quarter Horse Breeders Group.

Other activities include numerous equine clinics and seminars, draft horse pulls, stock dog competitions, Heritage Ranch Rodeos, alpaca shows, team penning competitions and 4-H family day activities.
