The Canadian Wheat Board is asking farmers to deliver Nos. 1 and 2 Canada Western Amber durum where possible. Many farmers have had trouble with wet yards and a late crop that pushed back harvest, so grain deliveries have not kept up with customer demand. As harvest nears completion, durum farmers are asked to make deliveries in order to meet existing sales commitments. Delivery calls on Nos. 1 and 2 durum are now in place and the CWB will terminate the first 25 per cent call effective Nov. 29.
