This year’s Alberta Federation of Agriculture’s AGM features presentations on emerging technologies; climate change; and farm labour and safety legislation. The event runs from Jan. 21-22 in Red Deer.

Agriculture Minister Oneil Carlier will speak Jan. 22 and lawyer Tom Ross will give a legal perspective on Alberta’s farm labour legislation.

Other speakers include researcher Andre Erler (Western Canada’s climate), Markus Weber of AgEagle (drone technology and profitability), risk management expert Rick McConnell (innovations in pasture technology), and Daryl Bennett (surface rental issues in Alberta).
