Alberta beef producers are being asked to share their perspectives on the future of genomics and genetic technologies through a new survey from Results Driven Agriculture Research and AbacusBio.

WHY IT MATTERS: Grassroots feedback from the beef industry helps shape where research dollars go. Responses will remain confidential and will be used to inform research-funding priorities.

Liver abscesses in cattle cost producers millions each year

Research points to rising costs as cattle spend more days on feed.

What the survey covers

The Cattle Producer Breeding Decisions and Priorities survey aims to capture producer practices, perceptions and priorities around breeding decisions. Organizers say the goal is to understand practical challenges and opportunities tied to adopting genetic and genomic tools, identify where further research or support is needed, and ensure future investments reflect what producers actually need.

The Cattle Producer Breeding Decisions and Priorities survey takes a few minutes to complete.
