July 6 (CNS Canada) – An international pulse conference is set to run July 10-13 in Vancouver.
The conference titled Pulses 2017, the Future of Food, brings the Global Pulse Confederation and the Canadian Special Crops Association conventions together at the same time.
The event features market outlooks for most pulse crops, sessions on consumer trends, international trade and production.
In its latest dry bean, pea and lentil market report, the United States Department of Agriculture reports grower values for last week for pinto beans in North Dakota/Minnesota ranged from US$27 to US$28 per hundredweight. A year ago, prices were US$26 to US$30 per cwt. Great Northern beans in Nebraska/Wyoming were US$28.
Black beans in North Dakota/Minnesota were US$27 to US$30 per cwt. and navies were at US$27.
Prices quoted were for No. 1, thresher run, warehouse delivered.
