Winnipeg, Nov. 3 (CNS) – Pea and barley processor Dakota
Dry Bean is planning to rent 20,000 square feet of warehouse
storage in Devils Lake, N.D., according to WDay television
station out of Fargo, N.D. Dakota Dry Bean operates and owns
processing and storage facilities throughout North Dakota and
Minnesota.
The price of pulses is expected to drop in Nepal, according
to UrkAgroConsult. Officials with the Nepal Retailers
Association said due to India’s bumper harvest pulse prices will
drop in the neighbouring county of Nepal. India is the major
supplier of pulses to Nepal and officials are waiting to import
pulses into the country until after the price drops.
Low chickpea yields are expected in Moree, New South Wales,
Australia, according to the Moree Champion. The low yields are
due to extreme growing conditions which included a dry winter
and unfavourable temperatures for growth. Big temperature swings
in August and September have caused a high incidence of pods
containing no grain.
