Winnipeg, July 24 (CNS) – Ukrainian pea exports surged in the past month, according to data from the government. The country shipped out 44,200 tonnes of peas in June of this year. That compares to 14,400 tonnes in June of 2016. However, on the flip side, exports of rapeseed fell by 28 percent during the same time period.

Aphids continue to be spotted in Manitoba pea fields and are becoming a problem, according to the government.

A story in the Hindu Businessline says pulse prices continue to fall in India. Weak physical demand is cited as the main reason for the decline in chickpea and lentil prices.
