It’s not just the face mask that makes this groundbreaking ceremony different. Local officials gathered earlier this month to celebrate a unique venture — construction of a 34,000-square-foot building that will be shared by the Marigold Library System and Western Irrigation District (WID) in Strathmore.

In addition to being home to 70 employees from both organizations, the facility will be able to host large events and community groups.

Marigold is a not-for-profit municipal collaborative that serves 320,000 residents in municipalities and First Nations from the B.C. border to the Saskatchewan border.
