After a two-year hiatus, Lakeland College’s Feast on the Farm is making a return this summer.
The Aug. 18 event — a dinner in a tent as well as a musical performance — is a fundraiser for what the college calls its “experiential learning model.” Nearly $100,000 has been raised from five previous events, with the money going to projects such as a grain shack for the student-managed farm and redoing the interior design technology program’s cutting room.
“We pride ourselves on offering our students real-world, work-integrated experiences where they can learn, lead and collaborate,” said college president Alice Wainwright-Stewart. “Our guests are providing funds that go directly towards creating powerful learning opportunities for our students.”
