This pair of photos from our Nov. 15 issue of the Alberta Farmer offer a small glimpse into the life of cattle producers in our province.
The Livingstone Range makes for a spectacular backdrop for cattle grazing at Elkhorn Stock Ranch in the Willow Valley last month. (see photo at top)
Some say Alberta was born along the Cowboy Trail and while tourists flock to Highway 22 and the area’s many attractions, cattle drives still take place. This one involved about 180 head being moved between Chain Lakes and Longview by cowgirls and cowboys from Sawley Ranches on Oct. 28. (see photo below)
